To promote Self Employment among the Educated unemployed youth by availing Subsidy based financial assistance through Bank for setting up of their respective projects under Business, Service and Manufacturing category.

NEW ENTREPRENEUR CUM ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT SCHEME (NEEDS)

Benefits

    1. Subsidy at 25% of project cost up to Rs.75 lakh.
    2. 3% Interest subvention.

Eligibility Terms

    • First Generation entrepreneurs in the age group of 21-35 years for General and up to 45 years for Special category such as SC/ST/MBC etc.
    • Promoter’s Contribution of 10% of project cost for General and 5% for Special category.
    • Project cost from Rs.10 lakh to Rs.5 crore
    • The applicant should be a resident of Tamil Nadu for not less than 3 years.
    • Posses educational qualification of +2,(HSC)/ any degree/diploma/vocational training from a recognized institution.
    • 15 days training through Entrepreneurship  Development Institute

UNEMPLOYED YOUTH EMPLOYMENT GENERATION PROGRAMME (UYEGP)

The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department, Government of Tamil Nadu introduced the scheme “Unemployed Youth Employment Generation Programme (UYEGP Loan)” which aims to mitigate the unemployment problems of socially and economically weaker section of the society, particularly among the educated and unemployed to become self employed in their Business enterprises by availing loan up to the maximum of Rs.15 Lakhs with subsidy assistance from the State Government up to 25% of the project cost (Maximum to a limit of Rs.3.75 Lakhs)

Eligibility Terms

    1. Applicants in the age group of 18-35 years for General and up to 45 years for Special category such as SC/ST/MBC etc.
    2. Promoter’s Contribution of 10% of project cost for General and 5% for Special category.
    3. Should have passed 8th standard.
    4. Family income not exceeding Rs. 5 lakh per annum

PRIME MINISTER’S EMPLOYMENT GENERATION PROGRAMME (PMEGP)

To create self employment opportunity in rural and urban areas with financial assistance through Banks/FIs.

Benefits

    1. Subsidy for General category is 15% and 25% of project cost in urban and rural areas respectively.
    2. Subsidy for Special category is 25% and 35% of the project cost in Urban and rural areas respectively.
    3. Second Loan with subsidy: For existing PMEGP units financial assistance up to Rs.1 crore for manufacturing and Rs.25 lakh for service sector with a subsidy component of 15%

Eligibility Terms

    1. Age of applicants should be above 18 years.
    2. Promoter’s Contribution of 10% of project cost for General and 5% for Special category.
    3. Should have passed 8 standard to avail loan above Rs.10 lakh for manufacturing and above Rs.5 lakh for service sector.
    4. No family income ceiling.
    5. The maximum project cost allowed is Rs.50 lakh for Manufacturing and Rs.20 lakh for Service sector.
    6. Ten days Entrepreneurship Development Program training

Annal Ambedkar Business Champions Schemes (AABCS):

In order to promote economic development of SC/ST entrepreneurs:  Annal Ambedkar Business Champions Schemes (AABCS) is being implemented. Other then direct agriculture all other manufacturing and service enterprises can be set up by availing financial assistance from bank with the help of 35% Government Subsidy 6% Interest Subvention. All entrepreneurs in the age group of 18 to 55 years with no requirement of educational qualification are benefited under this scheme.

Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme (PMFME):

In order to promote economic development of entrepreneurs irrespective of Male/Female, Community/Religion, Urban/RuralPradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme (PMFME) is being implemented. All types of food product manufacturing enterprises upto project cost of Rs.1 Crore can be set up by availing financial assistance from bank with the help of  35%  Government Subsidy (Maximum Rs.10 Lakhs). All entrepreneurs in the age group of 18 years completed and no requirement of educational qualification are benefited under this scheme.
