Objectives

To contribute to the improvements in the well being of children in difficult circumstances, as well as to the reduction of vulnerabilities to situations and actions that lead to abuse, neglect, exploitation, abandonment and separation of children.

  • Sponsorship:

  • Sponsorship is the provision of supplementary support to families to meet medical, nutritional, educational and other needs of their children with a view to improving their quality of life.

      Target group:

      • Children, of the age of 0 to18 years.
      • Children of families are having Annual income below Rs.24,000/- in villages, Rs.30,000/- in Cities Rs.36,000/- in Metro Cities.
      • Children who are not availing any Financial Assistance from other Schemes of State / Central Government.
      • Children staying in child care institutions for more than six months continuously, who can be restored to their families.

      Priority shall be given to:

      • Children of a single mother / widow
      • Children of Leprosy patients / HIV infected parent
      • Children whose parent / bread earner is in jail.

      Financial Norms:

      • Rs.2000 per child per month for maximum 2 children per family.
      • Duration-Maximum three years or up to 18 years, whichever is earlier, other than exceptional circumstances.

      • Petition (with Passport size photo-1 No.)
      • Bonafide Certificate from Head master
      • Income Certificate
      • Bank Pass book copy Child
      • Aadhar Card Copy of Children & Parents
      • Ration Card Copy
      • Death Certificates of Parents (if Applicable)
      • Medical Records (if Applicable)
      • Other Document (if any)
  • Foster Care:

  • Foster Care means placement of a child, by the Child Welfare Committee for the purpose of alternate care in the domestic environment of a family, other than the child’s biological family, that has been selected, qualified, approved and supervised for providing such care.

      Target group:

      • Children in the age group of 6-18 years who have been staying in child care institutions.
      • Children whose parents are terminally ill and have submitted a request to the Committee or the District Child Protection Unit for taking care of their child as they are unable to take care of their child.
      • whose parents are mentally ill and are unable to take care of the child;
      • whose one or both parents are in jail;
      • who are victims of physical, emotional or sexual abuse, natural disasters and domestic violence.

      Financial Norms:

      • Rs.2000 per child per month for maximum 2 children per family.
