Serving the combined region of Ariyalur and Perambalur districts, the Ex-Servicemen Welfare Office for Ariyalur District operates from Room 17 and 18 within the Government Multi-Departmental Complex. This office is also known as the District Ex-Servicemen Board. It functions under the leadership of the District Collector (as Chairperson), with a retired senior military officer serving as Vice-Chairperson and an Assistant Director serving as Secretary.

  • Objectives

1. The office is entrusted with the responsibility to facilitate Ex-Servicemen and their dependents regarding Re-Settlement / Self-Employment / Facilities / Benefits / Schemes available and furthermore provide assistance towards availing the same.
2. The District office functions as Special Employment Cell for retired personnel of the Armed Forces. Ex-Servicemen are sponsored to various agencies against employment vacancies reserved exclusively for them.
3. Resettlement and Rehabilitation of War Widows / War disabled
Ex-Servicemen and their families is being undertaken under the aegis of Directorate of Ex-Servicemen’s Welfare, No.22 Rajah Muthiah Salai, Chennai-03

1. Armed Forces Flag Day is celebrated on December 7, every year in India.
2. The main purpose of observing flag day collection is mainly rehabilitation of battle casualties, the welfare of serving personnel and their families, resettlement and welfare of ex-servicemen and their families.
3. Perambalur district secured the Third Place at the State Level in Flag Day Fund Collection in 2022, the second Place in 2023 and the Third Place in 2024.
